High tide was about 4.00, forecast was 4/5 and it was overcast and threatening a bit of rain. Arrived around one and the car park was far from full which was a nice change. Watched the crash test dummies blubbing on 5.7s so went for the 6.5. No point in mincing around.

Anyhow it was all go with some very maxxed out moments but still not a bad choice and it meant I was still going when the wind dropped off around 3. Compared to last Thursday it was pretty grey and a bit miserable but the wind was good, if gusty, and I was happy. I was very relaxed and sailing well. Particularly as I was fighting a hangover. Usual friendly crew out. Around 3.30 or 4.00 the wind dropped and I made the best choice of the day and came in. Packed up at a leisurely pace and watched a lot of determined people blubbing for a long time.

Pleasant drive home. Stopped off at Liphook Happy Eater for tea and toasted teacake to remind myself how good life is (and still working on that hangover).
